Global Kids, Inc. - The Village Voice Educational Supplement describes video games and how they are being used to teach "meaningful content", social and political awareness. One of our grantees, Global Kids, Inc. is involved in the development of one game for the New York City School System.

Dispose of E Waste - What is E Waste? Old electronic gear, especially computers and consumer electronics. Ebay joins Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition to collect and recycle old electronics gear.

 
 

Gorillas in the Midst of Extinction - One of the programs funded by the Wildlife Conservation Society, an Overbrook recipient, protects the remaining gorillas in an area of the Congo.

 
 

Cell Phone Batteries - Inform, Inc. examines the effect that business practices has on the environment and human health. One firm has organized a cell phone battery disposal system.
