ANNOUNCEMENT: SUSPENSION OF FOUNDATION YOUTH-FOCUSED GRANTMAKING - In 2004, the Overbrook Foundation began a strategic review of its grantmaking goals and objectives which will be completed this fall. The results of that review will be announced shortly thereafter. At their June 2005 meeting, the Directors placed funding for youth programming "on hold" over the next year while they continue to examine Foundation opportunities in the youth field. Consequently, the Foundation does not expect to award new youth-focused grants until that review is completed some time in 2006 and will not accept letters of inquiry for youth related projects until decisions about the youth grant focus are confirmed by the Board of Directors. Please visit our website www.overbrook.org over the coming months as we report on our plans for future youth-focused grantmaking. You may also contact Rini Banerjee, program officer at the Foundation, at 212.661.8710 for more information.
